If you are concerned read up online about what the drugs are, what they do, how they work and possible side effects. Although your doctor or therapist will be able to answer your questions.
I think its best to educate yourself and go into it with all knowledge fully available to you. You may decide after reading about the drugs that you are okay with it and you think they might help, or you might decide you want to talk to your doctor about other treatment options. I don't think you should feel as though you are being forced to take anything you don't want to.
