I think you should ask them if they want to dance

and even if they say no you should shrug and and say "suit your self" and just start dancing on your own.

too keep it more interesting you should do like normal modern dancing once time then next waltz then the twist then the robot then crazy arm flailing... in other words keep changing it up =D
