...so I bite them instead.
I'm 18 and I still can't get over my childhood fear of toe-clipping. My toenails are huge right now and I have to bite them off because I am afraid I'll hurt myself while clipping. Any help?
just do it.
...if you're not that manly, then just clip small bits off, parts where you're sure that it won't hit skin. Then you just slowly work down, until you feel the clipper hitting the fleshy part of your toe.
like >>2 says, practice makes perfect, start by small bits far from the flesh. Also, there are tools to clip baby nails with protections against cuts. Your problem is not very complicated, be a bit more pragmatic about it
why not use a nail filer?
if you are afraid of metal ones then just use the ones that are like sandpaper-ish
it might be a hassle since it takes longer but they will look better (people won't be all 'what's with your nails? do you bite them off??') and i'm sure biting your nails off is bad for your teeth and health
If I were you, I'd be deathly afraid of foot-breath.
The file sounds like a good idea.
