Wanting to give it all up (5)

Hi. I was laid off from my job during the summer of last year after only working there for two and a half months. Eventually I had to break my apartment lease and move in with family. Since then I have been looking for work doing everything I can. Pounding the pavement, posting my resume online, going to job training classes through my church, going to companies that help people with disibilities (I have Aspergers Syndrome) find jobs, and going to job fairs. But nothing. Still I didn't give up despite the dissapointment.

I did recently get a part time/ volunteer job for my church's employment center but it's only eight hours a week. After much trial I found a flower shop holding an opening for a part time position. I applied using the training from the employment center and frankely the owner was impressed and gave good comments on the questions I asked her after the interview. I stopped in the next week to see if she filled the position. She had not but said I was sweet for showing interest in the position.

Then recently I got a phone message from her telling me she had filled the position but thanks me for stopping in and said she enjoyed talking with me and said she would keep my resume on file and mentioned she has a lot of events in the summer and may call me back as an extra hand.

Honestly I believe she is mocking me and I just know she will not call me. At this point I want to just give up and forget all my dreams. I wanted to write a book since I have been told I am a good writer but frankely I think my ideas are horrible now. I mean if I can't even get a job where the interview goes well then what worth am I? Frankely I think I am a 22 year old money drain on my family. Am I just overeacting?
