I just got a text from the girl i asked to prom saying that she might not be going to prom with me because the 3-day training to be a camp counsler is on the same weekend as prom.
I'm a senior (of course, i'm goign to prom afterall) and i dont want to go without a date. But i know that she'll get mad/jealous if she cant go, then i ask another girl to go with me. And i know she's going to choose the counslor thing (camp counsler >.>) because if it wasnt such a big deal she wouldnt have brought it up.
so now i'm pissed that she's probably going to ditch me for prom, she getting annoied at me getting pissed, and i know she's going to get pissed when i ask someone else.
Am i being the selfish one, or is she?
ask her to find you a partner ^_^)b
Oh, and you're both being selfish, of course, but in this case I think you're totally entitled to go to your prom. Just discuss with her to find a compromise.
"Since you're not going, do you mind if I ask someone else?"
I can't see why that's a problem, unless you guys have some complicated history. But it's just a prom, no need to get all emotional over it. It might seem like the biggest thing now, but you'll see in a couple years time.
just go with a goddamn friend, are you slow or something?
Proms are overrated.
I came to my prom alone, got no clue who I should asked to come with me. But at prom night, I ended up with a lot of people who also didnt get a date, its more fun and nobody really care unless you are that one from popular clique.
Just chill and enjoy the night.
I didn't go to my prom, i had better things to do (like going to the arcades, or anything else).

Agreed. Mine was four hours of standing around talking to people that I talk to anyway. Oh, and attacking people with glitter that the prom committee decided to use as decoration on the tables.
But mainly just talking.
For four hours.
But anyway, OP, don't worry so much about having a date, because prom is going to suck anyway.
