A friend of mine is obsessed with her ex. My friend's ex knows she is clinging to him even though she left him and also, her ex uses her like a toy such as ''The ex fucking my female friend in front of the ex's new girlfriend''. I would really like to help my female friend get herself out of her obsession with her ex because it is tearing her apart but I don't really know where to begin.

My female friend is obsessed with her ex lover who she left because he was very possessive. Somehow, in the long run, the ex got her to believe that he wanted her back and played with her emotions even though she was in another relationship. Through all this, the ex manage to break my friend's other relationship very recently because she could not figure out who she should choose anymore between her present lover and her ex. She feels horrible for this. My female friend is obsessed with her ex lover and obviously needs help to let go and enjoy her life without hurting herself and her loved ones.
What should I do to help her?
