Well my friends been going out with this girl for like 6 months. They look like a good couple and all and it seems like they really are meant for eachother. However, a couple nights ago I was at a party with both of them and we were all kind of drunk, and I noticed my friend violently pushing/shaking his girl. I intervened and told him to chill and that was it, I didn;t think much of it at the time. Last night though we were drunk again and I saw him actually punch his girl in the face. I grabbed him and put him to the ground and told him to calm down but he was trying to get violent with me saying he wanted to kick my ass and all that talk. The whole time this was happening his girl kept saying it was okay, nothing bad was happening, trying to justify what happened even though there was no excuse at all. The way she was trying to defend was kind of scary itself, it seemed like he had done this all before. I confronted him the day after and he kept saying he didn't remember anything that happened and he didn't know what I was talking about.

At this point I'm really suspecting that he does normally hit his girl, and that's not cool with me at all. I know if I ask his girlfriend about the situatuon she's not going to give me a straight answer and try to bullshit that he doesn't do that shit. I don't know what to do at this point. If I confront him I know he's going to lie about it, so I don't know what to do. This situation really does upset me and I'm clueless about what to do. Any advice from anyone?
