What do you guys think, is it possible to be homesick for a place that you have never been. Been like that for me for a while now and I was just wondering if it was possible.
I think that what your looking for is that you have a longing for a place, being homesick would imply that you once lived there.
Either way since being homesick is just another emotion I would say yes it is possible to be homesick for a place you have never been if you generalize the definition a bit.
No, that's not possible. (You're taking about Japan, aren't you? Go to Japan, receive culture shock, come back home. Or don't come back, whatever.)
But if you want a word like homesick that applies to this, try out 'wanderlust'.
That's impossible by definition.
But if you want away from where you are, you're not alone, I'm in a similar situation too.
>>3 --- yes I'm talking about Japan, and the thing is I know there will be culture shock I'm not ignorant. But oddly enough I have a sense I've been there before, not in this life but in a past one. But maybe you're right maybe it is wanderlust.
> But oddly enough I have a sense I've been there before, not in this life but in a past one.
I would think 10/10 weeaboos would say this.
Rural Japan must be nice.
Any rural/quiet place must be nice in every country, Japan's countryside must be quite pretty and calm though, the photo's I've seen of fields and so are quite relaxing to look at.
>>6 well I just read the definition of weeaboos, I admit I do love Japan. But I am making an honest effort in learning the language, the cultural, and spiritual side of it as well. I know it's not all anime, and shit like that. It's like any other place in the world.
I hate weeaboos. I don't conisder myself a weeaboo, I'm actually Japanese for real, well almost. I will be when I live in Japan though. Right now I'm studying japanese, japanese history and I'm following Bushido, the way of the warrior. This is why I hate weeaboos that know 5 words in japanese and use them all the time, kawaai baka DESU NE MOTHERFUCKER. I'm actually trying to become Japanese for real unlike all these faker wees. FUCK YOU WEEABOOS
when i was very young i used to have a problem sleeping. it seemed to me i always fell asleep past midnight, around maybe 1 or 2am, so i grabbed a globe once and looked at time zones and looked to see where it was in the world that it'd be 9 or 10pm about the time it was 1am where i lived. my whole childhood i thought i belonged in greenland, which isn't possible cause i hate the cold, lol
if you can visit the place where you want to be, keep in mind not to heighten your expectations too much. i've recently moved somewhere overseas from home and it's the worst time ever, i have so much to learn in order to become a even a little more comfortable with the culture.
good luck
