Where are you from OP? I am a guy from the USA and I'm only 5"4' (very short for an American).

Yeah, there is little you can do about it, I just got off of (prescribed) Human Growth Hormone, and I only grew .1 centimeters.

Personally, I feel it is easier being short if you are a female ( my reasons are probably not adequate), but I think you should look at the positives, like you will always look younger than you really are (that will be a positive when you are older).

Trust me, most (if not all) men really do not care about height.
