Second year engineering... bahhh how i hate you so. All you've done to me is make me stress. I finally failed... and now what... you been my life for that past 2 years. Do i go back and hate it some more... or try something i might like/hate?

Why would you want to do anything that you didn't enjoy? What's the point of torturing yourself?

If you feel like you've wasted the past two years of your life, staying in the field isn't going to make those two years suddenly worthwhile. It's just going to mean that you're wasting more of your time.

If you decide to go back to school, find something you enjoy! Look around!

You haven't failed in school until you find yourself jobless and alone for five years after dropping out of high school. Like me. So shut your fucking face and go back to college.

I understand what you are going through. I'm going through that myself now. I'm 4th year in Biology. People around me constantly tell me that I'm not smart enough for biology and worst, my advisor even told me in my face that I don't belong to the school. It kept me down for a while but then I realized, "what gives these people the right to bring me down? to bring my dreams down? who are they to tell me where I belong or not?" After taking a semester break, I realized that getting my degree is a very important step to me personally.

Stress is part of school.. it's part of life. You have to deal with it eventually and you can't run away from it. What you can do is learn to find ways to cope with that stress like volunteer more, get a part-time job to relieve your stress during exam periods or extracurricular activities.

Honestly you haven't failed in school. You are just losing your motivation to do anything because you feel like you have "failed" in everything even school. Go take a semester break because you deserve it. Use it to clear your mind and decide if this is something you really want to continue or not. Find your resolve. It's never too late to back out on anything because you choose your own path in life.

Good luck

Of course you should try something you like, it's pointless to prepare a life for yourself that you'll hate, or that will only bring you stress.

Be happy you get to go to school, lots of people, in various situations can't. Be it lack of money, illness, whatever.

Maybe you should defer a year, take some time off to experience the "real" world, travel etc. Then you might have a better grasp of what you want in life, and therefore have more conviction in succeeding in whatever course you want to do in uni.

I failed High School and I'm 19. Time to kill myself!

I know the feeling myself. I nearly failed my degree too when I was at the university, after the 2nd year I knew it myself that I wasn't cut out to be a programmer but I refused to drop out from it.I thought I've already spent a huge amount of money in this higher education bullshit I might as well get myself a degree regardless of my grades,I was always happy with a D on my finals, lol. the last 2 years of my university life was hellish but my friends helped me to get through all that.and I am now working in the international trading bussniess with a 3rd class honor degree in computer sicence which is pretty much...well lets be honest here, totally fucking useless.

if isn't going the way you wanted,it's probably a good idea to drop it and do something you enjoy,it might take some time to figure out what you really like to study but hey it beats constantly getting the "why don't you just be an hero" look from your tutors and the pressure of knowing that you'll probably fail most of your subjects.

Just to follow up... I completely dropped out of engineering and currently in arts picking up some econ classes and i enjoy it alot. I am currently not on speaking terms with any of my family as they see me as a disappointment. Welp kinda happy and sad but life goes on.

Good for you. If you family cares more about their image then your happiness, there is really no reason to care about their opinion either.

This.

If you're in college and you're not going to run out out of loans/funding, you have NOT failed school.
