ＣＯ２は地球温暖化の原因の７割近くを占めるとされ、現在の温暖化が先進国に多くの責任があることを示す結果。この傾向はこれまでも指摘されていたが、詳細な分析は少なかった。最も「責任度」が大きいのは米国で、１６日の京都議定書発効を機に、先進国の排出削減の取り組みとともに、米国の議定書復帰を求める声が一層強まりそうだ。

Dictator-in-the-making Chávez is one of Castro's best buddies. Chávez was also the first democratically-elected leader to meet with Saddam after the first Gulf War.
