[Hypothesis] Islam is today's Proletariat [Hypothesis] (52)

Just as the proletariat has experienced through the ages whenever the governing classes would need more of them (through the breedings of the slaves in late rome, through the persecution of everything that served birth control by the people themselves under the hands of the churches, etc.), Islam has risen to an enormous power - in a pure matter of numbers of people.
Most live in poor conditions, just like the proletariat. And just like the proletariat, they give their power to a few maniacs, loons and other assorted leaders of the cause.
Paroles and ideology rule this class that makes up one of the hugest demographic parts of the world's population, enough to make them go berserk in those regions of the world where they are, as most of the time, too many to keep peace and somehow yet managed to gain a constant sustain of food and a sufficent ammount of firepower.

[Hypothesis] Christianity is today's Proletariat [Hypothesis]

Are you stupid? Christians live in far better conditions, which much less children and are to a large degree able and allowed to practice birth control.

Now do one with "furries"!

Seriously, though, I don't see any obvious faults with this hypothesis, but what insights does it offer that were not already obvious?

None, really, but I thought this forum was kind of dead so I wanted to spawn something.

Good going with the ad hominem - by the way, are you retarded? Large parts of Africa have quite a deal of Christian population (as well as South America I may add), and I don't see the Christians there live in so significantly better conditions than their Muslim neighbours. Christians in Africa also have just as many children (4.94/w vs 5.04/w) children and are not allowed to practice birth control either ("Condoms cause AIDS" -Pope, "Using the Pill makes you go to hell" -Arinze). It might be noted that the deathhouse of Africa (3.8 million dead since 1998, another thousand die every day), the Congo, is predominantly Christian (70%), and pretty much fits your statements perfectly ("live in poor conditions, give their power to few maniacs, many children, no birth control, sufficient amount of firepower, go berserk most of the time"), only for Christians.
Source: CIA factbook 2004.

Your hypothesis is flawed in that not all Muslims are proletarians and not all (not by a long shot, look at the mass of impoverished hinduists, christians, ... you name it really, who fit your hypothesis exactly) proletarians are Muslims. It's a generalization tailor-fit only for your hypothesis that breaks its own back when under scrutiny. Step by step you'd have to concede "oh well, so, the poor Muslims are the new proletariat"! - oh wait, then comes "the poor of any denomination are the new proletariat"! and then we're at "the proletariat is the new proletariat"!, and hello, welcome to circular logics, my name is Tautology, the end.

> Your hypothesis is flawed in that not all Muslims are proletarians

That was never my hypothesis to begin with.
And yes, there ARE many Christians but Christians have had a long tradition of getting out of the demographically induced poverty (Protestantism being one of these paths taken) and Islam does not have any of that - just a long line of breeding for Allah.

8 Name: kahless 2005-04-07 13:40 ID:Nk0jZCjg

Islamic countries have a lot less freedom than Christian or secular countries. The state runs the news services, so they only see whatever their fearless leaders want them to see. If the leader wants them to hate someone, the state can pump all kinds of negative images of them. The state mosques will preach against them. So they go with what they are told and some of them act it out as terrorists.

They aren't nessecarily poor though. It's just that the state doesn't have to fix things that the people want fixed. They control the media. If there's a problem, they just have to blame it on "Zionists" or "Americans" or "Crusaders".

Careful with those sweeping generalizations, you'll put somebody's eye out.

10 Name: kahless 2005-04-08 03:24 ID:Nk0jZCjg

All a meant was that the system in many of the countries in the middle east have about as much freedom of information and expression as the Soviet system did in the '50s or the '60s. It isn't like the US, where you can hear the other side of the story. I'm sure there are some who can see right through it.

11 Name: !WAHa.06x36 2005-04-08 11:58 ID:Uok1nJ3w

In the US, you are required to hear the other side of the story, even when the other side is complete bullshit! <-- A troll topic for another thread, perhaps.

Well, the fact that someone generalizes enough to force Indonesia out of the group "Islamic countries" really is not good.

The main problem with the world involving Islam is the fact that most people do not understand anything about it. Islam is not a religion that teaches its followers to kill. The only "Infidels" that the Prophet Muhammed of ancient times killed were the Pagans who had also attacked the christians. At one point in time the Jews sheltered Muhammed. As well, the Christians also sheltered him. From the beginning books of the bible, we see that All three faiths, Christianity, Judaism, and Islam... All come from the same roots. I have read roughly a third of the Quran. The Muslim holybook teachs of peace and hospitality. But it only takes a few madmen to completly corrupt a religion. And it just so happened that Islam was next in line.

Good luck with that attitude (trying to sound smarter than most & not really knowing anything yourself)!
Your post is so full of bullshit, I don't even know where to begin.

The Koran is FULL of divine orders to kill & torture the infidels, it's simple to verify that. How often do you see Jews making fatwas against infidels these days? Did Christians kill Theo van Gogh for criticizing Christianity?

A neat & informative article on the parts of the Koran that encourage violence & intolerance, written by a Muslim:

>>16 Have you read the Quran before? (Learn to spell somthing correctly before you go and criticize other peoples intellegence) It is not the holy book telling them to kill. It is the Imams and Clerics that are spreading the violence to the young, and after its gone on for so long, its become just the natural thing. It is not the fault of the book. No where in the book does it to say to murder thousands of men women and children. The Fatwas against the Pagans were army against army. Not army against civillian. The terrorists plauging the world are not going to be greeted in paradise, for they are still murderers none the less. Their ideals and views of the religion have been twisted and molded to the way the true madmen wanted it to.

Serving in the Marines automatically means I am killing people? Who... The other students here at west point? Fuck man I havent even been stationed outside the U.S. I love how you automatically assume that anyone in the military is a murderer. Fucking Hippy. Semper fi.

Anyway, yeah the Muslims are a bunch of proles. And maybe if they would learn to love their imperial overlords and give us oil, they'd be happy.

That's the thing. America sees the third world more as resources to be exploited than people. They don't give a crap about the poor in any nation. So eventually people in those countries get pissed.

Islam isnt really the problem in the world. The holy book does not order people to go and murder non believers. Allah is a more gental god than the biblical God of christianity. Its living leaders of the muslim people. They warp the words to make young stupid people bend to their will. Much like our government does to the young, stupid guys who think they are hardasses (Ahem. Domingo)

> The holy book does not order people to go and murder non believers.

Debatable.

> Its living leaders of the muslim people. They warp the words to make young stupid people bend to their will.

Muslims cannot blame the failure of their religion as a religion of peace solely on their leaders. It's their fault for following their leaders, citizens cannot blame their own fuckups solely on their government either (that was a common excuse of many german nazi-sympathizers after WW2).
