Because... Singapore is a "Chinese country"?
The only "Chinese country" is China. Say what you like about the CCP, but China is still China, they're making progress, both socio-politically and techno-economically. And though it has some hurdles and obstacles and a bumpy road ahead of it, it's still pretty r0xxorz, and a rare example of steady, controlled social progress. After a century-and-a half of violent social upheaval and civil war, seems like China's finally finding ways to make "progress" that don't involve amassing the corpses of its own people in the tens of millions.
