srsly, it shits me off. most people dont even pay attention to australian politics (even in australia) and now they wanna vote for some guy who has his last name and a year on the back of a fucking tshirt. wow, great marketing tactics there.
election races shouldnt be about marketing. people have forgotten the whole point of elections and voting. everytime i see kevin rudd on tv he just dodges questions and replies with an insult to howard. am i the only one that is sick of all this bullshit?
I just find it annoying in the ads where both parties use "ordinary aussie battlers" to tell stories about how the other party's policy "let them down".
yeah. people need to accept the fact that no party is perfect. no matter what party gets elected, many groups of people will have benefits, and many will have detriments. however, shouldn't people be focusing on what is good for the country in the long run? making Australia grow and develop is what really matters. Most people (whom ive met) are too greedy to realise that if the australian economy continues the way it has been going, the quality of life will be improved.

MER, enterprise bargaining.. I hear you brutha.
But that aside, I'm actually quite torn between who I would want to win. It's a case of new leadership whoever wins, but for me it boils down to save the environment or save the economy? Oh my opportunity cost!
>>6 the environment is fucked anyway lol. no matter how long we delay its deterioration it is inevitable that the human race is destroying it. economy ftw!
