Elections in America are around the corner. Whose name are you checking this year? I'm voting for Obama.
ron paul
presidential elections are a crock of shit (electoral college lol), my representative is invincible, i don't dislike the local judges enough to vote against them, the ballot measures are uninteresting.
therefore i am joining billions of people around the world in voting for koichi toyama by means of not voting.
Voting against Sarah Palin, so Obama. Never really had a problem with McCain until he chose her (but was going to vote Democratic even if they nominated Satan himself because I'm tired of this). I was more a Richardson man in the Democratic primaries, but he had no chance as he has half the charisma of John Kerry (but twice the jowls!).
Voting for my own invincible rep. She's very nice and a conservative Democrat, which is hard to come by these days. Voting against my invincible Republican state rep. Voting for my invincible Democratic state sen. Voting no on every single state-wide initiative in California.
Locally, voting to extend the half-cent sales tax to fix our highways. Voting against the latest school bond to put solid gold siding on the administration building or whatever it is they're up to these days.
so how are the current statistics in amerikkka?
Projections as of 2 November 2008:
(Where numbers don't add up, it's too close to call; results measured in electoral votes (foreigners: didn't write the constitution, not my fault)).
http://www.electoral-vote.com
Obama: 353, McCain: 185.

signed. in every other country it's the same. (germany here, for example)
So, I'm still registered as a republican (I was planning on voting for Ron Paul). Can I vote for a candidate outside of the republican party?
So it turns out there are like....ten people living in my district. No line for me!
And I definitely heard an old couple, "The second one down! The second ones down are the Republicans! All the second ones down!"
Twas supreme.
any new stats? KEEP US FOREIGNERS UPDATED!!! NAO!

Reminder that polls start closing 7PM EST, results start coming in as God wills it, a general picture should be apparent by 1AM EST or so.
that is, GMT-5. wouldn't want to confuse any australians :)
10PM EST
CNN reports: Obama 200/McCain 89 so far.
Not yet reporting, but near-certain Obama victories: California with 55, Washington with 11, and Hawaii with 4. Do the math. It's Obama.
Obama 297/145 McCain
CNN called it an Obama victory at 11:00:01 EST with the close of West Coast polls. It appears a sure thing even without Florida.
