Finance is the topic. I can pay every month without a hitch as I work ~30hr/week at the moment, however I would like to find ways to stop me getting so damn broke, and let this site have some legs to stand up on, should anything happen to my employment.
Donations: I've already got a Paypal account (donate@4-ch.net). You are more than welcome to donate, anonymously or otherwise, however about now 4chan needs it.
Advertising: I dont like it, its annoying, but it pays the bills. Clicksor shouldnt be such an issue, as there is no porn *shifty eyes* around here. I was also thinking about doing my advertising (at VERY CHEAP rates). Currently Google is out, as I am not American.
What can I give back to you?
In return for you digging into your wallets, I would like to give back. What would you like to see? more boards? maybe an imageboard or two?
REMEMBER: At this stage these are just ideas to help me out in running this site. I'd like to see what you all think should I have to resort to "money-making" ideas.

You need to be American to use google? That's unfortunate.
Clicksor seems to have its own problems. I recall many of the ads on IIchan mostly having empty slots.
BTW, you'll want to reduce the amount of server information your machine is giving out. Grep for "production" in the apache config file.

Let's not divide boards up too much before they get any real contributors. The division of manga and anime was silly enough to begin with.
Well I just slapped in TV because I had nothing better to do. In the mean time I will halt on adding new boards utnil people seriously nag me.
Rename Television to "Film" plz, that way it encompasses both.

agreed. Since an anime title almost always has manga version, two separate boards make "duplicate" threads with less active discussions in each.
Squeeks, why exactly are you running on a dedicated server anyway? While you got a good deal, somehow I doubt that 4-ch needs two terabytes of data transfer at this point.
Unless you're also using it for something else, shared hosting may be a far cheaper alternative. If 4-ch even gets large enough that it eats more than 100gb or so, then you can move to dedicated.
Cyrilthefish's host currently offers 120gb at $9.95 monthly, which is quite sustainable (for you at least, I don't know what the hell they're thinking though...).
