I don't know if Squeeks feels like adding any boards yet, but just to catalog what people want for when he gets around to it, here's a thread for discussion what boards you'd like to see. I'll start off with some requests for topics dear to my hear:
I don't know about programming. I'd definitely inhabit it, but I don't think there's enough volume to split it off yet.
Fine arts, yay. I'd have a soapbox on which to rant about literature. ;p
> but I don't think there's enough volume to split it off yet
Well, remember that having a dedicated board lowers the threshold for starting discussions. I know I'd talk a lot more about programming if there was a board for it.
Re: Adding more boards.
I'd rather have more traffic, posts, readers and people replying first. When traffic goes up, more boards go in, and I'll use this thread as a way to organise what topics will be covered.
Oh, I fogot to mention my views on a programming board.
Yes I am interested in it, however it would probably go beyond a programming board, and offering a mini-site where users can collaborate small or large scripts/programs, and I would have no problem hosting downloads for the said results of this community. Your response just for fixing the image rotation on the front page was great, and if the programming-savvy around here want to work together to make solutions not only for this site, but for other random things, I would have no qualms supporting it.

Just as WAHa said, though, some issues and subjects just don't come up without a board for it.
I found there is no category of "economy" for me to inhabit...
I'm depressed to be die..
I think right now that can go in /politics/ if it's theoretical.
Otherwise, yeah, there could be use for one.
For the time being, /general/ is the place to put things that have no home yet. I wont be adding any more boards until the current boards in place get to see more posts, threads and people looking at them.
