personally, i don't like IRC
too much realtime bullshit usually

so i don't really mind the idea,
as i don't really care

but i want to say that there probably shouldn't be an official channel
as that usually attracts and produces too much drama

but some unofficial hangout would prolly be nifty

Personally I prefer zirc, but that's only because I am already idle there, and idling on several servers is a pain in the ass.
