(´∀`)< Wrestling's fake.
Yes it is. In this thread we talk about SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT BUH GAWD KEENG!
I stopped watching WW...whatever it's called years ago. I think The Rock had won at Summerslam, or something. Anyway, I got to tied up in the backstage rubbish and forgot it was supposed to be fun.
That and Y2J made a really bad Face and it made me sad.
I followed wrestling for a couple years when I was 13 and 14, then I just lost interest (lol maturity). Triple H and the Rock were still in their year-long feud, while Stone Cold had just come back from the spinal cord injury and turned heel.
I've been a fan since I was a kid, but some of the new WW* stuff doesn't really interest me anymore. I'll still watch it when it's on, and I try to get DVDs of my favorite wrestlers. Such suspense! Undertaker vs Undertaker: Who will win this time?!
>>2 -- Even if you don't get wrapped up in the backstage stuff it can get really annoying nonetheless.
I've been watching TNA, which has a lot less T or A than you'd expect.
This thread is pretty dead!
I stopped watching WWE sometime during the inVasion thing, but I started watching again pretty recently. I watch all 3 WWE shows and TNA now, so I guess I'm addicted again.
John Cena.
HELLO I LIKE 4CH
are the wrestlers all gays?
Yes... All of them. That's why you black out and wake up with a sore anus whenever they visit.
Pro-wrestling is a fake. I never get why people are so into something totally fake.
So what if it's fake, it's still entertaining.
Pro-wrestling fake? Let me ask you this...WHAT THE FUCK ISN'T? CHRIST, ARE YOU FUCKING RETARDED? Movies are fake. Why do people go to the theater to watch that crap? The people in the movie aren't really try to shoot each other. Dances are scripted. Why watch that shit? I could go on all day. My point is, many things are fake, but they are entertaining. If you don't like wrestling, it's because you don't find it entertaining, but don't go spouting out that "it sucks because it's fake" bullshit. Thanks.
Pro-wrestling is basically a soap opera for men.
>>17
That's the best way I've ever heard it described.
I suppose all sport fit that description to some extent, but especially wrestling.
>Pro-wrestling is basically a soap opera for self-hating gay men.
That's more related to MMA than to Pro-Wrestling, but this is what you can read in an interview of Zeg Galesic :
Sherdog.com: PRIDE is marketing you as "Benkei," a famous warrior monk, for your fight against Takimoto. Was that your idea or theirs?
Galesic: I have actually been called "Benkei" for some time. The hardcore Japanese fans from (Internet forum) 2ch started calling me that. I investigated what the name stood for and liked the character and what he stood for, so I am happy to for PRIDE to market me as Benkei. It probably doesn't make much sense out of Japan, but I am glad I can have a connection with the Japanese fans through a name that they have chosen for me.
LOL.
Anyways, WWE is fake. I was watching it once, and I just turned off the television. I was laughing at how obviously fake the wrestlers are, but how, amazingly, so many people buy into it.
"IT'S STILL REAL TO ME, DAMNIT."
WWE is good for entertainment, at 20 years old obviously I've long outgrown it, But I can see why it has the attraction.
I have long lost the touch of it. Though WWF was kinda cool but WCW sucked.
I didn't know there was any dispute over the realness of it. Everybody knows it's fake, but it's still entertaining for some people. It's for people who like drama, most notably gays. If there weren't any choreographed fighting and it was only the backstage drama bullshit it would probably be very popular with women.
I would completely buy that. It looks pretty gay to me.
Yeah.
I have to suffer from it everyday since my brother always buys into that.
Glad there's REAL wrestling though. Y'know with Headgear (or not)
Protip: Wrestling fans don't think wrestling is real.
>>42
Yes you do.
i love to see those men hugging each other in strange position!!!
i remember being in denial about wrestling be fake when i was in 7th grade
I havent watched wrestling in forever, but I never understood why people always point out how wrestling is fake but never feel the need to do so with movies, tv shows, theatre, etc...
