I'm sure most of those who installed 95 way back when remember the videos included in the cd, like the one with Weezer. There's this other one that I watched around the same time on my pc, but I can't find it anywhere on my 95 cd. It was a short film about these marbles going down a slide and through a tunnel, but one was a cube and couldn't fit. The other ones helped to push it until the tunnel broke and they could all slide.
Am I remembering something completely different or was it really part of the windows install?
I never had those at all. A lot of times I think the computer manufacturers put those on the drive with the original windows install, so it probably isn't a universal windows thing, more of a whoever made your computer thing.
I found it! It was actually on an old ATI driver CD(came with the PC), with a bunch of other neat videos.
I remember installing Windows 95 from a 13-floppy set. Another four floppies installed Internet Explorer 3, but only as a bundled optional browser, not a required integrated core OS requirement. I still have the complete floppy set somewhere in storage.
The video can be viewed here, if anyone cares to.

Personally, I think the block is suppose to be a black kid, the ball white kids, and "helping" is affirmative action.
Yes, this clip is brought to you by a comi government.
...So, have a link to the Weezer one?
That one's a lot more common, as it got play on music channels and whatnot.

The Windows 95 CD also included a more obscure music video by Edie Brickell. http://www.youtube.com/?v=cd8wwL0ylMo There were actually two copies, one in mpg format and one in avi, which I'm assuming was a newfangled thing at the time because the avi was in a subfolder called HighPerf. Ironically, the mpeg had fewer artifacts and smoother playback.
Seeing this on a brand new computer was mindblowing after years of living with at most 256 colors and "videos" that were at best 3-5 seconds of tiny, grainy gif-like loops.
I like to watch it whenever I come across it. It's so relaxing.
