I'd like to know if anyone has any experience on the Sleipnir browser? Is it good? I'm thinking of downloading it but I'm not sure if it's a smart thing to do... I'd like to know the cons of it. Can anyone help me?

I had no idea what you were talking about. For anyone else who also didn't, apparently it's a Japanese web browser supporting tabs. I'm not sure what other advantages it has, if any. It has a website written in Bad English: http://www.fenrir.co.jp/sleipnir2-the-world/

Personally, I'm satisfied with the Japanese tabbed-browser I already use, w3m.

Sorry! I should've linked it to the Wikipedia article or told what it was. blush

Anyway, you can download the English version from Download.com and there they gave good ratings for it, but as I said I'd like to know the cons of it.

looks like it's just another crappy IE wrapper.

I wondered about that, since you'd think if they wrote their own HTML/CSS renderer from scratch it would get more attention.

it's also Mozilla wrapper. This might be an advantage...

Tried the old version about a year ago. my opinion is that, not bad for IE wrapper (haven't tried mozilla engine with it), but it's not mature enough. Maxthon is better IMO for IE wrapper.

Sleipnir with Gecko engine doesn't block pop-ups, other than that it's pretty good.
