Predictions are that Apple will release a new Mac Mini Core Solo (single-core Intel Core Processor) and a new iBook (probably just called "MacBook" without the "Pro" at the end), with iSight/Frontrow and a Solo processor. Also something to do with iPod accessories.

What do you think will happen?

I think Apple will announce they are dropping OS X and switching to Windows! That's what the switch to Intel was all about!

It even was on Slashdot!

> All Mac mini models also include an integrated Intel GMA950 graphics processor with 64MB of shared DDR2 SDRAM

lol

So, more expensive Mac Minis, but also a dual core version.

Are there ANY benchmarks out there for the Intel GMA950 graphics controller? That would give an idea of how it performs compared to the Radeon 9200?

ati > nvidia > intel
note that that's only for the hardware, tho. if you're using windows or linux/bsd, ati's drivers suck.

>>6 and >>7 totally miss the point, which is: The Mac Mini currently has a Radeon 9200. This is no speed demon. There's no doubt the GMA950 is fairly slow, but is it any faster than the 9200?

PS, >>7, you're allowed to make hyperlinks. The internet uses them, you know.

It's faster!

Dumbass jokes aside, at least the GMA950 is supposed to have pixel shaders, so Core Image will work better.

Oh wait, I misread that. Waaah, it's slower!

By ten points. You realize ten points on 3DMark means nothing, right? It could've just been the operating system conditions or how software was installed.

It's too bad the graphics card isn't faster.

A Mac Mini recently appeared on my desk at work, and I love it, but while I'd like to buy one for myself, I'd also like a decent performer. You can buy additional RAM and a faster CPU, even get a larger external drive, but what about the gfx card?

Nope, stuck to the 9200/Intel thing forever!
