Jo.
Seeing the absurd amount of disorganisation that exists in the common internet user's Images of perversion file, i've started thinking of ways to help prevent/remedy that, and would like some constructive criticism.
first off, Anidb-o-matic has shown that there is a noticeable benefit to showing file versions and corruption checks by comparing your ityms to the standard of others, so why not take it to the image level? (processing drawback aside)
With limited effort, a complete hashing of one's collection with integrated renaming according to some agreed upon standard, could work wonders for collection exchange over image boards, and personal use.
All thats needed is a database structure to organise all of it, and some donkeys to sift through the images.
any glaring ommissions to that plan?

That a bunch of people have tried it and failed before, because nobody really cares except obsessive-compulsives.
Thread over.
