Does anyone know a free alternative to MaxiVista?
i doubt anyone here knows what maxivista is, and they probably don't care enough to google it...
I'm guessing it's one of those gay themers that reskins Windows XP to look like Vista.
No actually MaxiVista is a multi-monitor program with the difference that it uses a second computer as a secondary monitor instead of 2 monitors in a single computer.

free alternative: find a dual-head video card in some game shop's dumpster
The reason I wanted to find something like MaxiVista is because I want to avoid having to connect two screens to the same computer with a dual-head video card.
Apps like this (I saw screenshots of one but I can't find it atm, sorry) are really cool when they support multiple OSes. Beeing able to share mouse, keyboard and clipboard between two boxen with different OSes like they are one sounds awesome...
Oh, so MaxiVista is a software KVM? How does that work?
MaxiVista isnt the same thing as Synergy. With synergy you do not use the second computer as a secondary monitor, you just switch the keyboard and mouse control to the second computer.
I've looked, may as well just buy maxivista, i think i will soon.
zoneos.com doesnt have download links to zonescreen and i found 1.0.7.0 and its no where near as good as maxivista.. anyone else got somethin to add
