I recently bought a new (and overly expensive) bluetooth dongle but neither my computer at work nor the one at home (both WIN XP Prof. all SP) won't accept the drivers that came on the CD: It's a Crypto BT 100 (yeah I know, stop laughing), Windows also can't find drivers from their update page... any ideas expect killing the guy who sold me that thing!?

If it ain't working, give it back and demand a refund.
I would if my stupid little brother hadn't ripped the box in a million little pieces...
sell your little brother
bluetooth and windows don't mix. i try and avoid it as much as possible. not to sound like an mac freak, but bluetooth is integrated much better in apple's os x, mainly because of the simplistic service options (slightly limited but work all the time) and a unified setup interface (i.e always the same). i would never bother installing bluetooth on my windows desktop because of the bluetooth driver issues that complicate the installation of any bluetooth adapter i have had the pleasure of installing on a clients machine.

oops... didn't read the other posts, it is still worth trying to harass the sales guy =)
thanks guys, actually I already thought about selling my brother but I doubt I will get a single cent for that little rat...
>>5 I know about the problems between windows and bluetooth, the thing is that I needed it for a project at work and my boss knows NOTHING about computer at all (well he knows what they look like... I think...)
decided to sell that thing to a coworker, his dangle, his problem =P

think your coworker will post here complaining how he bought a bluetooth dongle that doesn't work? :P
I just surfed over to www.crypto.gr ; maybe look at the drivers on that site? I saw a few possibilities.
one question - did you find a compatible driver?
I also bought the same crypto bt 100 bluetooth dongle and the hardware could not be installed on my computer (os: win xp)
can you tell were you found the right driver?
or did you stop searching anyway?
thx
