A long, long time ago, my brother had this MIDI program on our old 486, that allowed you to open up a MIDI file and you could see the sheet music (staff, notes, etc) for all the instruments. It was really interesting. Is there a program like this today? If so, please provide a link. Thanks!

Whoa, this looks great, but are there any comparable free programs?

Cakewalk Home Studio does it too.

Finale does too, I think.

Too bad that isn't what he's asking for (unless it happens to have a staff view.)

Reason from Propellerhead software does it. Not free, but you know where to look for it, hint hint.

If you have a linux box, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosegarden is good. Does all that stuff, plus PDF export, MIDI sequencing... a neat app.
