/Tech is there a quick way to block specific images (not to name it, on 4chan) ? I guess you can take its adress and do something with it, I don't know what, but is there a faster way ? And is there a way to do it so that the image is blocked each time ?? That is, when it is posted in another thread later ? I'm sure the answer is gonna be "no", but I'd have tried.

First you need to come up with a reliable metric to determine if two images are the same (in appearance, not necessarily data.)

and then ?

>>2's point was basically: Find a way to properly compare images (The stuff in http://4-ch.net/tech/kareha.pl/1166807500/ comes to mind), and then write the app to block them (Maybe a firefox extension?) yourself.

I think this is an interesting idea (goatse blocker, lol), but I don't think someone has written something like this, if noone finds something and noone else does it, and if I have the time sometime soon, I might have a look into it.

Ok, I was expecting this; only thing is that I don't know how to do this. If I knew, I wouldn't be asking.
The metric to compare images is not a problem I guess, just a precise size (in octets and not kilos, maybe) should be enough... What would be nice and fast is like a right-click option...
