I feel like it's impossible, it will never happen.
For a long time I've tried and looked around but I can not find a way to convert swf files to something like avi for free.

I have tried media-convert but it didn't work, I've tried mediacoder and that didn't work.

The files I've been trying are the loop videos from the flash area on 4chan.

Please any help will be greatly appreciated!

You can try this one, but it doesn't convert sound yet, so you'd have to capture than separately and mux it together.

It might sound stupid, but just recording what's on your screen with something like FRAPS might work pretty well.
