Hi everyone,
It's summer up here, and so my processor's getting hot again. I have one of 'em Intel Hyperthreading p4 Prescott's who are notoriously hot P4's. Anyway, I got a pretty good 38mm Scythe fan for it and at 3000 rpm from a case duct I can still barely keep it under 57°C. I could push my fan to the limit, but then it makes a racket. So anyway, I guess I'll live, but it is annoying.
Any of you have hot CPU's? What's "too hot" for your processor? And how much should one care?
I read that thread title, and thought the processors had been stolen for a moment.

Average CPU temp is +20C room ambient temperature. As the cpu does more work the temp increases accordingly. Get a fan controller to cut the noise levels, they increase fan rpm when the temp rises so your computer will get noisy only when doing work.
Other cheaper option is putting the pc in another room and using cable extenders. I did this and it's bliss.
Hey, why didn't I ever think of that?
The only disadvantage is you have to get off your ass every time you want to swap CDs/DVDs, unless you use an external drive, that is.

Yeah. Sometimes I watch the same anime over and over because i don't want to get up and change the dvd.
Why you so stupid?
You no hungry for FAN, you hungry for HOT PROCESSORS!
