Taping up ur LEDS (5)

So I was watching some stuff on my computer in the dark and I've got one of those keyboards that's got a lot of bright green leds on it, and my monitor's got one of 'em power leds on it too. So I find that the lights are distracting when I'm watching animu in the dark.

So I go ahead and I tape all the lights up with blue paper and masking tape, on all the buttons and stuff. And now there's only a bit of light leaking out but it's nice and dark!

Only light in the room comes from my monitor!

I have a speaker set on my desk (woofer underneath) with an irritating blue led in it. Black electrical tape went straight over that sucker.

I can't sleep at night with lots of blue and red led lights in the room, which is a problem because I'm a computer enthusiast and my boyfriend's a hacker... He's agreed to break all the light bulbs in the "s|_|p3|2 l337" cooling fans and cases for me, so I don't have to sit up all night under the neon.

When did it become "in" to have your PC lit up like a Christmas tree?? How annoying...

I have my external hard drive connected by an illuminated USB cable... it has extremely bright green LEDs in both end connectors. I only bought it because it was a good quality cable, selling for cheap (presumably because no one wanted such a thing). and... it's extremely distracting having the HD just to the right of my monitor. Taped that one up as soon as I got it.

Yeah, I feel a little bad taping up all my cool-looking stuff, but It's better than having that kind of "glowing-EXIT-sign-right-next-to-the-screen" effect. I wish they'd let you switch off the LEDs.
