Yeah, I think you're right, it's great for gaming too. MUCH less panning to get a complete visual of a room.
Widescreen is the future.
On the other hand, I'm thinking of trading in these closed-back headphones for open ones. These headphones have excellent resolution, but they're a little too resonant in the mid-ranges (typical of closed-backs I know). It makes the whole thing sound a lot tinnier than it would otherwise, pity, cause I love these cans' resolution. So I think I'll stick with Sennheiser and buy the HD 555, or maybe HD 596 if I can find a good price.
Not sure if it's a good idea to buy "refurbished" headphones though.
