I am having this issue with the wireless internet at my house.
For some retarded reason, the signal can barely stay on for 10 minutes before disconnecting. However, this only happened yesterday and was not the case on Saturday.
My wireless network consists of a router connected to a digital phone, and a modem.
I really want to ask, is it my router's (I have a ehome brand, but I can't remember the model #) problem or is it my modem's problem or is it because my damn digital phone is taking so much bandwith?
If there is a problem what should I do?
You don't specify if the "signal loss" is to your router, or to the modem, or if it is your internet connection.
well, disconnect the phone and see if you still have the problems? :/
Yeah, I've tried disconnecting the phone and tried every possible method, now its worse than before, there is no internet in my house, not even using the ethernet cable does anything at this point.
However, for some really really odd reason, the phone still works, (as it was able to call someone in Asia).
So, any advice before I call comcast tomorrow afternoon?
Don't mention bittorrent.
Google for "Comcast new practice to disconnect users who use bittorrent".
Just did, nothing came up.
Then again, I only used bittorrent on Saturday with like a one gig file, so would comcast really cut off my internet because of that?

etc.
That doesn't explain how my phone could work

True, advice not to mention bittorrent does not explain how the phone still works. In related news, advice not to jump out of windows does not explain how birds can fly.
(end sarcasm)
So here's what to do:
3: When you have been disappointed by the abysmal level of technical support, and if things still don't work, sum up the situation so far and post. Explain exactly what happens. Start by answering >>2's question.
thats another thing I've noticed...people seem to take sage as an insult when it really isnt meant to be that. but I'm straying from the point.
sage=set a good example
GOOD use of sage:
(sage because I'm adding nothing useful to this topic)
Bad use of sage:
Sage as an insult is part of the board's culture. The failure to bump a topic, and thus the accelleration of that topics end generally indicates a dislike for the post.
Of course that isn't always the case but sage as a negative is even more ingrained than any of the memes, because the functionality is built into the board.'m adding nothing useful to this topic)
SO PLEASE STOP BEING FAGS AND LEARN TO USE SAGE
Huh, this group doesn't have a high volume traffic. No need to sage. And in high volume traffic groups, saging means your post will probably go unnoticed. Damned if you do, damned if you don't?
The low traffic in this "group" is exactly why sage is a good idea. Otherwise the same few posts stay on top, and people get pissed at "that idiot who can't figure out anything for himself and keeps bumping the thread".
I do, anyway.
Unless you meant it because it's already at the top, in which case I'd agree. But I'm sageing this anyway. (Take that!)

That sounds like a good way to maintain customer base.
Any company which attempts this sort of lame strategy is just moving these paying customers to a company who better appreciates the money.
