What's a good microphone for crystal clear audio recordings? I need the best, I don't really mind how much it costs.
I don't mind if it's a headset, just not those little horns for mobile phones.
Wireless is good, especially if it's with bluetooth.
Headset as in headphones with a microphone attachment?
That's what headset usually means, yes. Congrats on grasping the notion.
except... the IDs are all the same...
Well anyway
Going to help me or not?
OH SHI-
Stupid networking, >>5 was someone on my network and now I have his ID.
The ID is just a timestamp/address combination thing. That's why you guys have the same (because you have the same external IP. I guess >>3 is the same person too? That post also has the same ID as yours.).
Knowing someones ID doesn't really mean anything, since it's automatically generated.
And "Heaven" is what you get when you sage.
Anyway. Can't help with the original question. Of course, if money is not a problem there's going to be plenty of people available to "help" you choose. :-)
Go for SHURE.
>I need the best, I don't really mind how much it costs.
So are you willing to pay more than $500?
For under $300, either a Shure SM58 and/or a Studio Projects B1 are probably your best bet.
Actually, I picked up a bargain at a charity shop today. $1 for a mono headset -- the 8ohm speaker in it is pretty low quality, but I notice the microphone is quite sensitive.
I had to re-wire the thing to get it working at first -- it worked as-is, but the audio output on the speaker was extremely low on the count of two resistors in series with the speaker, and other wiring oddities. (Lets face it, when you get 130ohms+ across the 3.5mm plug, you know there's problems.)
I'm yet to do any extensive testing with it at the moment, and I'm certainly no audiophile, but for what I'm after, it should do a reasonable job.

There you go.
I own both the SM58 and B1, and love them both. However, I can't really tell you about mics over $500, as I know little about them.
I would say go into your local music store and ask to try out a few of them. Also, google for forums to see what people say. You never know, a $30 mic might end up suiting your needs, depending on what you're using it for.
> I want recording studio quality.
You might need to invest in a recording studio, if that's the case.
