Hi all,
Just a little problem...ish...
I've just finished putting together a new rig (this isn't my first, though the problem is), and i can't get any output from either of the DVI slots on my Powercolor x1950pro. The fan's spinning, so it's getting power of some sort to the card, and it's definitely plugged into the mobo.
My PSU is a 600w OCZ StealthXStream (18A on each of the 4 12v rails - PCI-E gets a rail all to itself - And the PCI-E 6 pin connector from the PSU is plugged into the card for sure).
My monitor is a 19 inch Hanns-G widescreen, with one analog D connection and one DVI-D (only digital in this case) connection, though no matter which DVI port i use on my graphics card i get "No Signal" on the screen. I've also tried the digital to analog converter that came with the card going into the screen's D connection (tried on both ports) and still no signal. I even tried that same method on another screen. I know for a fact the analog D connections on both screens work.
Thanks for any suggestions or help.
check if u connected 4 pin connector into motherboard from the PSU.
if u dun plug that shit into mother board, u will c that power is on but Screen is not on. remember 4 pin CONNECTOR.
Both the 20pin to 24 adapter 4 pin plug is in and the one i think you're talking about which powers the cpu. Still no signal...and before anyone suggests it, the 6 pin connection straight to the graphics card is connected too.
and it's possible that ur graphic card is fucked up. you know it already or are u denying the fact that it's broken cuz u r afraid? ;_ ;?
Because i'm afraid?...i think i'd just return it before i start shitting myself.
Do you have onboard video?
You might need to disable that in the BIOS.
Nope, i'm pretty sure it's a faulty pci-e slot now, friend of mine tried the card and it worked, whereas his wouldn't in mine...my DVI cable checked out on his rig too.
