I have seen many pictures of peoples desktops online that have the command prompt intergrated into their desktop or their bottem toolbar. I looked into it further and there is very little information on this and I have seen it done many different ways I downloaded a program called Launch and it didn't work. and it is the only one I could find. are there any other programs out there that do this or something similar?

I don't know the names of these programs, but if you tried Launch and it didn't work, it might be for a different desktop environment than the one you're using. Did its documentation specifically say it was for KDE, GNOME, XFCE, etc?
