I'd like to ask you guys before calling in a technician. My internet connection seems to disconnect every time my brother enters his room which is right next to mine and turns on his TV and other things.

I don't think it has anything to do with the ISP because i have just recently changed ISP and the previous one kept doing this too.

Do you have a wired connection, or wireless?

If you're using a wireless connection, then the TV, and other appliances could be interfering with your connection.

It's a wired (ethernet) connection.

maybe the ethernet wires were very cheap ones and have absolutley or very poor shielding. buy new ones.
