I hate movie spoilers (17)

I can't begin to list all the movies I had ruined for me either by idiots in the theater or people screaming spoilers even before I am ever even interested in a movie. Can someone explain to me what the deal with people doing this because I swear to god it's become an epidemic and I don't really care for many movies anymore.

First: What city do you live in?

Second: When do you typically go (I mean how soon after release)?

Well, I don't really go to theaters anymore, but people do this alot online to. I will not be interested in a movie, see spoilers people scream, a year or 2 passes and I'm interested in it now and I remember the bullshit they said so my enjoyment is ruined then, or people scream it out of nowhere before or after it comes out. I HATE IT!

I've never had this problem at the theaters but I can understand the online thing. I like to avoid sites that might have spoilers, especially ones where other users can post reviews.

>>1 I can only answer this question for myself. Emotionally I am so childish that I only like films with happy endings. If it is gonna be a sad ending, I WANT someone to spoil it for me so I can stop watching right away. If it is gonna be a happy ending, my kids know to reassure me during the frightening bits (eg when the hunter creeps up on Snow White with a knife) that it will all end happily ever after. If they don't reassure me, I will reassure myself out loud. I know it annoys the hell out of everyone, but still, that's what I do.

I hope that answers your question.

Do yourself a big favor...it may seem obvious but dont make my mistake...if you truly love movies and dont want them spoiled, dont ever, EVER, work in a movie theater!!!

Pfft. Just see them on opening night to avoid people spoiling you.

I like getting spoiled. For me, it's not about the plot twists. I mean, in this day and age virtually every possible direction a story can take has already been taken on dozens of different occasions.
All that really matters is execution/atmosphere/*****ACTING*****/etc. I enjoy that a lot more than generic plot twist 1457 and shit a lot more brix than the average moviefag.
