Although I have watched a couple of the episodes, I've never got the "grasp" of it, from what I've seen its a tad boring on the story/plot side if lesbian schoolgirls aren't your thing (and they aren't for me).

Incidentially, the narrative device used in Marimite where Yumi is so out of it that other characters have to make expository dialogue to bring her up to speed is awesome.
Also, it's the only action Rosa Catura gets so far.
The japanese spelling is "Rosa Katsuura", but my research seems to indicate that the plant referenced is usually written "Catura" in English, or rather, Latin. It's a coffee plant. Her real name is "Katsura", though.
I'll admit I could be wrong about some of this.

BTW, Here's a trivia about all girls Catholic school in Japan.
(I'm Japanese, so sorry about my Engrish...)
In the middle of 19th century, Japan emerged from its natinal isolation and started modernization.
Japanese government established many modern-style schools, but most of them are for boys, since Japan was still male-dominated country. There were 2 types of school for girls: teacher training school and household art school. When Western missonary priests came to Japan, they felt modern educational institute for girls was needed. With their missionary zeal, they established many private Chathoric school for girls. Not all parents were afford to let their daughter go to private school, but many daughters of riches recieved an education there, and later, educated women did a lot for Japanese society, including furthering of women's right and others.
So, all girls Catholic school is one of the oldest, most traditional educational system for girls in Japan. Even today, the impression of all girls Cathilic school is rich, bright, traditional, polite, girls with good upbringing, etc.
