Worth watching, or just lame?
I like it.
+: good animation, nice designs, story unfolding pretty well overall, plenty of babes, sexual under- and overtones (a plus in my book :), boobs, science/scifi stuff, grand conspiracies...
-: the main hero seems to have major issues at times and at other times he is cool calm and collected; the "drive the needle thru the heart" bit - there was no apparent needle on the syringe (to spare sensibilities?); the fake brother answered the phone immediately - there should have been a slight delay; we can hear the voice despite the phone being on the floor...
Oh well, small details, most likely to be chalked up on the need to cram a maximum of story exposition in the first episode.
I like it too.
Very nice drawning, cool story. May end tragically, though (it's a war anime, after all...).
And if the hero have issues, what about Iriya... :p
She has bigger problems than him, methinks. :P
Yes, two at last. ^___^
Raaaaaah the mind out of the gutter, the mind out of the gutter...
No problem, the anime is flying below the belt as well. Lots of sexual innuendoes - which is fine with me, she is very cute and in desperate need of a pilot to lick her controls. :)
Bumping right out of March 2005!
I finally got around to watching a couple of episodes of this. Seemed like the moe version of Saishuuheiki Kanojo. Not sure if it was all that interesting, but at least Iriya is slightly less of a hopeless wimp than Chise. The only really fun parts are when she's running around, pulling what's-his-face behind her.
Okay so it`s yet again a scifi show with kids who are slightly emo.
But it`s nice so far and it certainly annoys me less than Saikano.
I wonder if she`ll transform in an end-of-the-world-thingy at the end too XD
Ok, so finally watched the last episodes.
It sort of peaked around the fourth episode, and then went downhill. After watching episode four, I was thinking, hey, this needs less moe and more people cutting implanted microchips out of their necks with red-hot box cutters.
But then it pretty much failed to deliver on that, too. The ending was just kind of meh. It tried pretty hard, and almost made it, but not quite.
>>9 There should have been a sex scene near the end, methinks.
Maybe on the floor, with all the soldiers watching. :)
Strangely enough, that would actually have made the story work a whole lot better.
The anime didn't feel like it flowed together all that well, like each episode was made by a different team. Felt like it was a "proof-of-concept" anime made by some guys that a big company liked
