Well, the series isn't off to a very good start. The story from the manga was both toned down and simplified, much to its detriment. The tragic ending was changed to an open one, and some of the more interesting character interactions were cut.

I really hope that was just a fluke, and I will keep watching it, but it really was a disappointment to see the producers wimp out like that.
