He worked at The Right Stuff anime company and died recently. I had talked to him through e-mail a few times many years ago when anime was not so big, and he was always very friendly and funny.

Jeff was the driving force behind the American releases of Irresponsible Captain Tylor, Boogiepop Phantom, and His and Her Circumstances (Kare Kano). In addition, he narrated "director's commentaries" for every episode of Boogiepop Phantom, providing an amazingly useful perspective that revealed his passion and love for anime.

I never had the luck to meet Jeff, but I treasure his Boogiepop commentaries.
