Is this related to Cream/Creamy Lemon
No.

Are you sure? For some reason it's been vugging me in the back of my mine, since I thought I heard of a Cream Lemon-related anime being released soon, a while back.
Googling for both the terms "Cream Lemon" and "Lemon Angel" brings up:
http://www.animenation.com/4861900700.html
Which mentions it contains previews of Lemon Angel Project (from now on referred to as LAP), which I'm wondering why it would have if they're unrelated.

Seems to be selling LAP's single discounted when purchased with CL stuff.
I get some weird Spanish sites that site stuff like:
>Lemon Angel Project
>Ispirato agli OAV hentai Cream Lemon, privo però di elementi erotici e pornografici.
Which I translate to "Lemon Angel Project, inspired by the hentai Cream lemon."
I get a weird Itallian site that says
Also, I find this: http://www.kokuryu.org/lemonangel.html
Which says:
>Lemon Angel was a short-lived TV series in Japan. What is unique about this is that Lemon Angel is the Cream Lemon TV series! You would never see this in the U.S.! The first 5 volumes of Lemon Angel are almost entirely Anime. The next 5 volumes are mainly live action. The Lemon Angel band is also very popular and produced several hit singles as well as several albums.
Also a toonzone post said:
>Lemon Angel Project
>In 1987, there were a group of actors who voiced the roles for the hit ecchi TV animation Cream Lemon. Back then, they were called the Lemon Angels. Now, in 2006, they are planning a revival of the Lemon Angels! There will be a huge contest! >Hundreds of girls will enter, only a few will win! Tragedy, tears, drama, and a bit of T&A rolled into one!
...all that put together makes me think there's some sort of connection.
Out of all of those, I actually find http://www.kokuryu.org/lemonangel.html the most interesting.
Albums? Games? Live Action? Cream Lemon related? Sort of makes me want to research more.
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=6095
Plot Summary: Lemon Angel was once the greatest girl band of Japan, but then it broke up and most of its members vanished. When a music producer decides to put together a new Lemon Angel, average high schooler Tomo Minaguchi is approached to audition for the group. Little does she know of the mystery behind the original Lemon Angel...
Lemon Angel Project is a boring (IMO) show about wannabe girl singers. The voice of the main girl is atrocious, and the others are barely acceptable. Nudity is scarce and misted. Plot is laughable and cliche. There is a soft black border all throughout, and everything is blurry. No sex, no cream, just a lemon.

Thanks.
From what I've found, it seems that Cream Lemon was cleaned up and re-written for TV and shown as "Lemon Angel." Shima Erika, Sakurai Tomo, and Shima Erika were the VAs for it, and also formed a semi-popular girl group called "Lemon Angel."
Lemon Angel, in which Miki, Tomo, and Erika played themselves, featured stuff such as live action clips, Lemon Angel performances, and even generated a spin-off OVA.
So this new show, "Lemon Angel Project," is sort of a sequel to the idea of the group "Lemon Angel." What's sort of weird is that two of the main characters (Miki and Tomo) even have the same name as the originals, although in the original, those were the VA's names as well.

I have see all the Original Lemon Angel animes, and I must say I'm surprised/shocked that LAP is supposed to be a continuation/renewal of the original. I would have never guessed, it's so different. Looking at it again under that new light, LAP is missing on a lot of points. OLA were refreshing, mostly musicals, and above all they weren't blurred.
