I've only recently become aware of this show, which is a damn shame because there's a lot of great stuff here. Minna no Uta is an NHK show for children and parents, dedicated to producing original animated videos for various songs. It's apparently been broadcast for 45 years now.
I noticed there are a number of Minna no Uta videos available on sites like youtube.com, so I've decided to dig through those, and post them with whatever information I can dig up. Any other Minna no Uta fans, feel free to join in!
(I suppose I should have included the link to the official site in there: http://www.nhk.or.jp/minna/)
Probably the most well-known Minna no Uta video to western anime fans is Egao by Hiromi Iwasaki and directed by Makoto Shinkai, of Voices of a Distant Star and Beyond the Clouds fame:
Another video that has been making the rounds is Going Under Ground's Tomorrow's Song, which features a video by Tomomi Mochizuki, known for his work on Maison Ikkoku, Kimagura Orange Road, Ocean Waves, and more recently, Zettai Shounen, Twin Spica, and the second Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou OVA:

(I had to upload this myself, hopefully it will be available soon.)
Tomomi Mochizuki also directed this one, Horishita Sayuri's Kaze no Toorimichi, along with some other Ghibli people (Kondou Katsuya and Tanaka Naoya).
Another one I like a lot is Mio Isayama's Tsuki no Waltz, animated by young independent animator Atsuko Ishizuka. It features some surreal fairytale imagery. A must-see for gothic lolita fans, at least:
There were also a couple of videos that didn't catch my interest enough for me to do any real research on them, but that I'll post them here anyway, for completeness. Some of these look pretty old!
Yu Hejun's Chigueso Chikyuu no Sora no Shita de (some of that is apparently Korean, I make no guarantees that that got it right): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jle9QNi5_tk

COMPUTER Obaa-chan: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Hte-k-XHhk
Found some more! A Pizzicato Five song, Message Song, animated by one Toshio Nishiuchi (http://www.acv.cc/member/nishiuchi_toshio/nishiuchi_toshio.html)
Ooh, I have the song for Makkuramori no Uta
PSYS'!! I was a big fan of this band!!
It's interesting that Sakamoto Ryuichi is behind Computer Obaa-chan.
If anyone wants to help out, I've been too lazy to try and search through Youtube for the songs listed in here, other than the Pizzicato Five song:

This is a must-watch.

A little something for cat lovers.
Seems like a lot of Minna no Uta files were removed from YouTube after NHK's demand they nuke 30,000 videos.
Minna no Uta is one of my favorites! Has anyone seen this one yet?
