Sorry if I accidentally bump this, but I just had to get the rage out... It's hard for me to decide one particular anime I hate over the many I do; Blood +, Trinity Blood, Inuyasha.. although I suppose I'll choose Naruto, since it's still going on.
I don't know who to be pissed off at though! Cartoon Network for airing this pile of crap, or John Q. Public for eating the crap with a spoon!
This series has no character development. None! The characters as they are now are exactly the same as they were in their debut episode! They overuse flashback sequences (that provide no new info) which got old by episode 10, and the training episodes which encompass about 1/3 of the series are boring as all holy hell! At least Bleach manages to make the training watchable by have Ichigo fight Zangetsu... Naruto just gets handed a rubble ball and told to "wing it" for five to eight episodes. All the characters manage to piss me off due to the fact that they only have one character trait... Naruto is overly-ambitious, Sasuke is overly-brooding, Sakura is overly-PMSin' (repeat for the cast of 100+ characters...) and of course, they'll stay that way for the rest of the series unless they get killed off, or in Anko's case, written out of the story. (Anko's dismissal is another griefence I have with it. She was one of the hottest characters, less annoying that the rest, and she was heavily tied to Orochimaru's past. But nah, we'll just throw her away and introduce 40 new characters to make people forget about the story potential with Anko and focus on training to raise Naruto's powerlevel.)
I mean, God Damn. All this series is good for is porn, and now that it's on TV 24/7, that means a lot more crappy art will be flooding the net.
(Note: Almost everything I said about Naruto can be applied to Inuyasha. Seriously, adult swim, if you wanna appeal to a female crowd, I'd rather watch hardcore yaoi that hear Kagome bitch and Inuyasha be a general ass, and everybody else just be plan annoying.)
And for God sakes, I have a really high tolerance for crap! I watched all of Dragonball Z, and even a few episodes of Dragonball GT! Anybody who can survive GT deserves a medal!
