I havent seen anything from the anime, but i got to see the trailer from the Movie, that looked so cool.... where will it be aired in october? Do you know when it will be available on DvD for Australia?

I saw the anime too and it was very, very good. The music and animations were in perfect synchr., the Seiyuu did a great work and I look forward to the next episodes!

Yeah, that opening is super cheesy, which fits the, let's face it, super cheesy show very well.
apparently death note only has 37 episodes
"Only" 37 episodes? That's a lot these days, unless you include pieces of shit like Naruto.
37 episodes means that it will most probably only focus on the L vs Kira ark
i think the 37 episode is the 1st season which is L vs KIRA and they prob will have a 2nd season with Near and Mello in it, hope they do
I got my hands on the 1st episode, but my PC began to drag on so I'm still didn't see the moment when Light's long journey to total craziness began. Opening was cool though, but music didn't seem rather fit to me.

Well, Death Note anime is over. It's funny that I found this topic, I was going to make my own.
SPOILERS
The ending was epic IMO. Orchestral music brought together the whole running scene. I can't wait until the new episode that is supposed to talk about what happened to everybody. I still have something to look forward to! I love the series in general. I started watching it around December, and watched every episode since then. It's my first time to actually follow an anime getting subbed, so it was a good experience.

Sorry, dude, the ending was super cheesy, just like pretty much the entire second half of the series. The show started losing its way somewhere around that Yotsuba arc, and by the time we get to the Near and Mello stuff, it's totally lost and is just fumbling around.
The ending was pretty much putting the show out of its misery.

I'll admit that you are right about the Near and Mello arc in the respect that they were no where NEAR (lol) as good as the L arc, but I still stand saying that the ending was great. I suppose that putting it out of its misery could have been its greatness, but nevertheless, I still liked it.

Eh. I'm kinda sick of it. The manga is a lot better because the ending for the anime is sooooooooooooooooooo gay. It sucks in comparison to the manga, and it actually did wear a bit thin furing the yotsuba arc.

The manga is way better. The anime sucks. I remember looking forward to it for like 2 or 3 months to come out and it was exactly the same but a lot lamer. And the ending sucks in comparison to the manga. kinda sick of it now. I mean they're milkong it for all it's worth.
