Hilarious, chibitastic, exaggerated, lots of (stylized) blood, gore and morbid behavior, cute and clever. And some of us are suckers for a dark, awesome, non-gothy chick.
Just don't let the extreme feminity of the four guys scare you off, you'll get used to it soon. Especially as they spend most of their time in extremely stylized forms, chibi as well as just super-stylized (which includes stick figures on some rare occasions).

Plot Summary: Kyouhei, Ranmaru, Takenaga, and Yukinojou are beautiful, handsome, young men living in a huge mansion. One day, their landlord, whom they call "Auntie", asks them a favor: to make her niece, Sunako, who's going to be living with them, into a respectable young lady. She agrees to make their living expenses free of charge if they succeed but, if they fail, she'll triple their rent. Due to their confidence in knowing how to deal with women, they agree but, once they meet Sunako, they begin to realize that their lovely living arrangements may soon be in jeopardy.

Plot Summary: 4 handsome guys get to live in a gorgeous, large mansion for free. There's only one catch: Turn the land lady's niece into a "lady". Soon the boys find out this is no easy task, Sunako, the girl in question, is a gothic, horror movie freak who looks like Sadako from The Ring. The boys now must start the grueling task of turning the gore-loving girl into a "lady".
I read the manga way back when, and I liked it for a while but then I sort of got distracted from it. I watched a bit of the anime and while it was funny it didn't really have much staying power when you'd already seen the jokes.
So basically I thought it was decent, but not really great.
Although the fish chopping scene from episode 1 never fails to amuse.
Any idea how this title ended up getting renamed to something seemingly irrelevant to the entire story?
I need to watch more of this. Anything with Nojima Hirofumi in it... oh, I love his voice :D
i luvs yamato nadeshiko shichi henge! the anime and the manga! personally, i think the manga rushes thru the details a little too much, but it's an awesome series!
