Hello, recently I've ran into the problem where my external can no longer hold anymore data because of the anime series I had stored up in my external harddrive. Now, normally I would go and delete them myself, but I've reached a point where I can't delete any of the series left on my hd because I like them all equally. Therefore, I come to you guys to give me suggestions of which series I should take off my external. Here is the list:
Azumanga Daioh
Big O Season (1 and 2)
Ghost in the Shell (Season 1 and 2 and the first 2 movies)
Gundam 08th MS Team
Kino's Travels
Lucky Star
Mahoromatic
Pani Poni Dash
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
Samurai Champloo
Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei (season 1 and 2)
Tegen Toppa Gurren Lagann
Yakitate Japan
Tora-Dora
Death Note
Delete :
-Tengen Toppa(overrated "best anime" please are you kidding shit),
-Death Note (manga superior to this shite)
Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei both seasons (first eps cool then it becomes lame, boring, repetitive)
-Ghost in the shell 2nd Gig (NOT FIRST: Laughing man fucking pwnz and the 1st gig is awesome, second gig sucks ass and really boring uninteresting episiodic shit) Keep first Ghost movie, delete second.
About the others, i'm sorry but i still need to check out pani poni dashe etc etc. Others i know ofc like Samurai Champloo etc etc but are too badass to delete.
You should get yourself some empty dvd's(verbatim) and burn most releases that you think won't get better in quality (like Ghost in the shell 1st gig =not HD release..so burn away)
goodluck!
hmm, good point on all of those, but I think i won't delete tengen toppa because that series holds a special place in my heart. I'd like to get more input from different people before I begin clean up duty!
> Azumanga Daioh
was fine at the time of its release, but high school girl comedy has been done much better since, including by another series you have (lucky star)
> Death Note
what >>2 said
> Mahoromatic
this was a pretty meh comedy so far as i remember, it's been half a decade since i last watched it though
> Yakitate Japan
pretty funny, but really damn long and doesn't have much rewatch value, imo
burn a few of the shorter ones to DVD, then delete them.
I mean, decent-ish DVD-Rs are pretty cheap nowadays, so why not? Much cheaper than buying the official releases.
Ok, thanks to all your suggestions, I now have some space on my external for some new shows. I'm not very well-versed in the anime culture (at least I think i'm not) so based on my viewing preferences, what kind of shows can you guys suggest for me to watch?
it looks like you like comedy so i'd recommend kyouran kazoku nikki, maria+holic, and seto no hanayome as (relatively) recent series in that vein i've enjoyed... maybe hidamari sketch if you could go for something less uproariously funny and more slice-of-life
can't offer any advice on the action/mecha side of things, not my thing. many of my friends liked macross frontier though
alright cool, i'll check those out first.
op here, so i've began to read seto no hanayome as >>7 recommended and all i got to say is that it's ridiculous. you're ridiculous ,7
is that a good thing or a bad thing?
dont delte death note!!! that is seriuosly the best manga ever!
we've got the same dilemma, i'm burning them to a dvd for keeping. how bout burning some moolah on a TerraB?
hmm
I'll keep azumanga & lucky star, all others are expendable or only worthy of DVDr. Make space for new anime..
azumanga & lucky star deserve instant access for quick laugh any given moment.
Axe Champloo. The animation steadily got worse and worse after that first eye-popping episode. Lots of garbage filler too.
