It's one of those magical times in the world where everyone is united behind a common cause; annoyance.

I don't blame you. What's the point in animating 7 episodes about the same god damn thing with a few different lines. I don't care if you're just following how the novels are written; sometimes anime needs to make sacrifices and skip certain parts of the original story, because it just doesn't work in anime form: this is DEFINITELY the time to do that. Skip this shit and just summerize it in two episodes MAX, or make it a fucking movie. I don't wanna wait a week just to see the same fucking thing over and over again.
Just thinking about it is making me really angry.
haha, already did that >D

>>5 Actually, the light novels only narrate one iteration of the loop.
I posted this over on blog but I'll reiterate here: Endless Eight has a (translated) wordcount of 15469 words in the light novel, which is the fourth longest arc of the ones that have been shown on the anime so far.
However, if you calculate (light novel) words per (anime) episode, it ranks dead last, at 1933.625 words/episode. In comparison, the shortest one-episode arc is Mikuru's movie (episode 00), with 8544 words.
It is a ridiculous waste of the second season to spend half of it repeating the same episode over and over again; I was hoping The Disappearance would make up for it, but who knows if they'll even get to it if they're going to air The Sighs starting this week. :/
