Slashdot is one of the biggest news sites for internet/tech/intellectual propety related topics.
There's a huge possible English-speaking audience this could attract.
But it is reasonable to polish up the "5 minutes" text before submitting the story.

After more English-speaking netizens become aware of the story, maybe
sensible strategies for us foreigners (from the Japanese perspective) can be come up with.
