Yesterday afternoon I purchased a copy of PoPoLoCrois for the PSP. I'm running the PSP on version 1.5 firmware in order to have access to the vast majority of great homebrew programs out there.

Now, while PoPoLoCrois normally requires a version 2.0+ upgrade in order to play, this can be easily bypassed with the use of the Genesis UMD Launcher, which is a masterfully created program that allows most games requiring firmware upgrades to be played on a version 1.5 PSP.

Now, having said all of this, you might wonder what this has to do with the discussion at hand.
